PRP were appointed by Brackley Investments to provide civil/structural engineering and surveying services for a new build medical centre in Chesham. The project site was situated adjacent to a major trunk road and presented several technical challenges, including a sloping site and contamination concerns.

PRP were responsible for providing the civil and structural design of the building, including the use of piles, as well as site elements such as major 6m high retaining walls. Additionally, we provided offsite highway works, which included the design and project management of a right-hand turn lane in a major highway.

PRP also conducted contamination investigations and were responsible for the design and management of remedial measures to clean up the site. Finally, PRP provided party wall surveying for six adjoining owners.

The project presented several challenges which we overcame with careful engineering design and planning and coordination with the local authorities.
