PRP were instructed by Dacorum Borough Council for the residential housing development which comprises of 10 units within a greenfield area with trees and a substation area within the site.
PRP provided full structural and civil engineering consultancy services including external works for footpaths and pavements, foundation design with consideration to tree influence, drainage design with consideration to SuDS requirements and structural design.
Our extensive experience in the delivery of many residential schemes for both housing and high rise developments ensures we understand and satisfy the requirements of the various stakeholders including the water authority, Environment Agency, building control and planning.
Utilising an in house multidisciplinary team, we ensure that the manifold requirements of residential development and their integration are considered from the outset. This could be proposing the best structural frame type with regards to the cladding and layout or undertaking a cut and fill exercise to consider allowable access gradients for disability users, reducing retaining structures, limiting haulage and aligning with efficient foundation design.
We understand the necessity to develop a coherent drainage strategy whilst satisfying the requirements of adoptable pavements and sewerage and providing construction cost efficiency.
