PRP were appointed as civil and structural engineers for a new modern masonry built house with 5 bedrooms and 5 en-suites in Chalfont St Giles.
Working in partnership with David Parker Architects, PRP completed the drainage, foundation, and superstructure design.
The house featured a cinema room in the loft and a cantilevered glazed corner window in the dining room. Due to the complex nature of the soil in the area, PRP designed a cruciform foundation solution to span over any potential soft spots.
Furthermore, the site had no means of discharging the surface water into a positive sewer system, therefore a deep borehole solution was adopted.
